Panagiotis Halatsis

Dr. Panagiotis Halatsis received a BA in Education with a specialization in Special Education and has taught at various primary and special education schools. He worked as a School Advisor, responsible for primary schools in the region of Attica for a decade. In 2004, he earned a PhD in Social Psychology with a scholarship from The National Scholarships Foundation, with a focus on the social rejection phenomenon within children and preteen groups. He has taught at the Department of Psychology at the Panteion University and the Education Studies’ Masters Degree program at the Open University of Greece. His main areas of research are psychology of communication in interpersonal and group relations. He is the co-author (with N. Christakis) of the book “Same- and cross-sex friendships” (2011) and the author/co-author of several articles in international scientific journals and collective volumes.
